About this site

Who publishes these pages

Notepad++ Guide publishes this website. The name on every page is Notepad++ Guide. Don Ho and the Notepad++ contributors do not operate it, review it, or endorse it.

What the site is for

The pages explain the Windows editor: what it does, how a normal install works, how plugins are added, and where the official download lives. Tutorials are written so each page can be read on its own.

What the site is not

This is not the Notepad++ official website. It does not host installers, portable archives, or plugins. It does not ship a modified Notepad++. Download buttons start the 8.9.8.1 64-bit installer. The 32-bit, ARM64, and portable packages stay on https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/.

Names and marks

Notepad++ is the name of the software this guide describes. We use that name so you can tell which program the pages are about. The site logo is an original text mark for Notepad++ Guide, not the project's logo. Interface diagrams are original drawings of the documented layout, not official product photos.
